Henry County Sheriff Monte Belew and Henry County Emergency Management Director Ron Watkins announce a new Henry County Mobile Alert System. All residents of Henry County are urged to sign up for important local safety information to be sent to cell phones of users who sign up. Information such as “be on the look out” for suspicious vehicles or persons, missing persons, severe weather warnings, shelter openings, burglaries, school closings, winter weather statements and any other information that needs to be disseminated quickly to residents of Henry County for the safety of our citizens will be sent as a text message. You will not be able to text back to the number. If you have information to share back to law enforcement you will need to call the Sheriffs Dept at 642-1672.
This system was purchased with a grant through the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Three Star Program and the Paris Henry County Chamber of Commerce.
Sherriff Belew and Director Watkins are pleased to add this service for the safety of Henry County residents..
