Henry County Courthouse Employees took advantage of today’s statewide Tornado Drill Day coordinated by the National Weather Service in Memphis and Henry County Emergency Management. Around 9:15AM Wednesday morning the NWS sent out a “mock” tornado alert and courthouse personnel closed offices and all personnel and visitors responded to take shelter in the basement. Watkins states, “This was a great opportunity for county personnel to practice recently updated emergency plans for the courthouse and courthouse annex” Henry County Mayor Brent Greer, back center, and other employees can be seen giving a thumbs up on the drill.
