Administrator of Elections DeLaina Green says this year broke the record for the highest number of people registered to vote in Henry County.
She said there are 20,361 people registered, which falls only about 3,000 short of registering every eligible citizen in the county.
Early Voting begins Wednesday, October 19 and runs until Nov. 3 for voters to avoid packed election day lines.
The election commission office will be open to voters from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on weekdays during the early voting period and from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on the two Saturdays. During the first two Thursdays of early voting, polls will be open from 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m.
