Henry County Highway Department track hoe operator Andy Bratton Wednesday afternoon widens the area for a new bridge to be constructed on Olive Road, between Seldom Seen Lane and the Jones Bend Road/Highway 140 intersection south of Cottage Grove. Work began on August 15 and will likely take two-three weeks before the road reopens to through traffic. The department is taking advantage of the good weather to replace culverts and bridges throughout the county.
